According to online sports betting sites, The Lions of Teranga have approximately 25% chance of winning the trophy, with the odds of 3.78 (+278 American; 139/50 Fractional). Their closest chasers, Algeria, have their betting odds placed at 5.85 (+485; 97/20).
One more team, Egypt, stands out when it comes to probabilities showcased by bookies. The Pharaohs have odds of 7.90 (+690; 69/10) to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
There are four other teams trailing behind, which have a solid enough shot at winning the AFCON and are approximately equal by chance of doing that: Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Nigeria. The odds of all teams are in the range from 8.50 (+750; 15/2) to 9.00 (+800; 8/1), except for the Nigerian football team, which is placed 9.90 (+890; 89/10).
